Bost is a RN, MN, and project officer at the Griffith University Research Center for Clinical Practice Innovation. Wallis is an RN, PhD, and a chair in the Clinical Nursing Research at the same university.
 Both researchers have the proper background and authority in the field of research and nursing. The intended audience is nurses, who suffer under physical and psychological stress as an effect of their profession. Forty eight female nurses were randomly assigned to either receive a 15 minute massage once a week for five weeks or to participate as the control. The following results were observed the treatment group had a lower arterial pressure than the control group. The State-STAI and the Trait-STAI scores declined in the treatment group and increased in the control group. Massage is beneficial and decreases anxiety
